BIM

Building information Modelling (BIM) is an intelligent 3D model based process. Gone are the days of designing a building in 2D! At JKA all our projects are modelled and coordinated in 3D, including structure. This not only helps minimise issues on site but helps visualise the scheme through the design process for our clients.

 

As a pioneer of BIM since 2010 James has had experience creating and managing 3D models from £40k Extensions to £600m Hospitals (and most project types in between!) making him an industry expert in this area.

 

'I'm really passionate about bringing the benefits of BIM to a smaller projects. Traditionally you may have a few CAD plans and elevations drawn up and that would be all a client or builder could expect. We aim to involve the client and design team in all stages of the model development so the project is resolved in a virtual environment before we start on site.'
