Howells Crescent

This is one of our favourite projects!

The clients came to JKA with a challenging brief for a contemporary extension to their 3 storey period house in a local conservation area.  The one thing they didn’t want was a ‘soulless box or one big space’

The stunning design solution creates a series of spaces over split levels with dining and kitchen areas joining back towards a snug TV room.  The transition is flanked by a WC and utility either side and hidden from view.  The best area of all though is the sunken reading room to the rear that accommodates the transition in level to the garden.

Red brick was used externally with a vertical bond stepped out used at the upper level to compliment the Crittall style glazing.
